Keeney History Day for families will feature Revolutionary War reenactors and horses from the 2nd Continential Light Dragoons, Sheldon's Horse encamped at the Keeney Center. They will patrol the town and discuss Wethersfield's history as the birthplace of the US Cavalary and the center for recruitment and training of dragoons during the Revolutionary War. Visitors will also learn about the unique role women played in mounted units. Exhibits, crafts, and games for children will also be offered at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center.
